Spray Tanning by Tiffany Verdi

How do I get the perfect spray tan for my wedding?
Your wedding day is one of the biggest days of your life, so ensuring you get the perfect spray tan is a must! I always tell my brides-to-be to do a trial spray tan two days before their makeup trial. Matching your spray tan to your makeup is an absolute must. Then try taking some pictures in the same lighting as your wedding day. Because most people tend to photograph darker, I always recommend going a shade lighter.
As far as preparing for the tan, start exfoliating, moisturizing and drinking plenty of water. This will leave your skin feeling moisturized and healthy. Do your manicure/pedicure and waxing a few days before your spray tan. I highly suggest spray tanning in the morning two days before your wedding. Then relax and enjoy your your beautiful glow!

What makeup looks are trending for brides, and how do you choose the best one?
I like to let brides know that it’s best to avoid trends. You want your wedding photos to be timeless and it’s the same with your beauty look! I find that incorporating your personal makeup style into your look and playing up your features works best. You don’t want to use your wedding day as an experiment to try a Smokey-Eye or a Red Lip. If that’s not something you wear frequently you’re not going to feel or look like yourself. The best advice I can give is to start working on your skin! Healthy skin is vital to any look and a tremendous asset for a flawless makeup application. It will brighten your complexion and enhance any makeup style.

I’m interested in some cosmetic touch-ups before my big day. What timeline should I be following?
While the timeline varies depending on the bride or groom’s desired procedures, it’s typically best to see your cosmetic surgeon one year out from the wedding date. For a breast augmentation, we recommend starting the process one year before the big day. Begin Botox and other injectables about six months before, or opt for a Vampire Facelift to dramatically rejuvenate the skin. Five months prior, keep the glow going with a HydraFacial, and about two to three months before, refresh your Botox and injectables. We also suggest a Bridal Spa Party to get the whole party feeling beautiful. Finish up your year of pampering with a Vampire Facelift one month before the big day, as well as a manicure and pedicure two days prior, and you’re ready from head to toe!

I put on some weight from the stress of wedding planning, and my wedding is around the corner! What is the fastest way to trim down?
SculpSure treatments use light-based energy to target troublesome areas of fat that have become resistant to diet and exercise alone. The laser energy targets fat cells, which allows your body to naturally expel the cells in the weeks following body contouring treatment. This treatment can be customized to fit your needs, as well. A single SculpSure treatment takes less than a half hour, and the amount of treatments needed will vary. Some patients start seeing results in six weeks following fat reduction treatment, although best results are typically seen after 12 weeks. You can return to your normal schedule following SculpSure body contouring treatments as there is no downtime necessary.

I love the way lash extensions look, and I would love to have thick, full lashes for my big day. How do they work, and when should I book my first appointment?
I generally suggest brides try their first Fullset of Lash Extensions around the time of the bridal shower, or about a month before the big day, to ensure your lashes match your vision. By giving yourself a month or so in advance, you can control your desired look and have time to adjust the length, thickness and volume. I recommend a “mascara look,” so lashes are thicker, curled and 2-3 mm longer than your own. For those that want a more dramatic look, we can create that, too!
Lash Extensions are virtually care-free, but you need to do a few things on lash day: arrive with squeaky-clean lashes; don’t drink caffeine or too much of any liquid; and after lashing, do NOT get your lashes wet or humid for 24 hours. Following your first appointment, get lash touch-ups every 2-3 weeks.

What hair styles are trending for brides and bridesmaids?
In the upcoming wedding season, we have noticed many brides asking for an off-to-the-side or half-up-half-down look. Softer curls and texture is a request we also hear often. Many brides are opting out of wearing a veil and looking more for a flower crown or simple flowers in their hair. While baby’s breath was popular in 2016, the bigger flowers are coming up in 2017. We’ve also seen so many variations on braids, and I love it! French braids, Dutch braids and fishtails are just a few of the possibilities.
Whether these looks are here to stay or are here for a short time, we are enjoying the new looks for the 2017. And remember, always take your wedding location and venue into consideration when choosing your hairstyle. Many styles for 2017 work for both beach and rustic looks.

In preparation for my wedding, I lost a significant amount of weight. However, now I’m left with extra skin around my midsection. What procedure is best for me?
After a consultation, I could best determine the right procedure for your desired results, but generally, after patients lose weight, a tummy tuck and/or liposculpture would reduce extra skin, as well as tighten and smooth the abdomen. Liposculpture is one my specialties, which is provided at our Valencia office. It precisely targets the fat cells, isolates them and removes them from the body permanently.
“I saw Dr. Heller in January for a tummy tuck and liposuction,” said a female former patient. “I could not be happier with Dr. Heller, his amazing work and his caring staff. Dr. Heller created a body for me that was better than before and better than I even imagined. My confidence has literally sky-rocketed!”
