Canyon Theatre Guild Presents A Christmas Carol Musical
November 25 – December 21
For many around the world, Christmas isn’t Christmas without revisiting the well loved tale of the penny-pinching miser, Ebenezer Scrooge and the awakening of his long forgotten festive spirit.  This delightful musical adaptation shows that we must use our time wisely and understand that we have but a moment to make the right choices. As the spirits visit Scrooge, showing him the error of his ways, Scrooge becomes a changed man. When the bell tolls for Christmas Day, will he have the strength to change the man he has become? “A Christmas Carol” brings the atmosphere of Victorian Christmas traditions to life in a journey of discovery where Scrooge finds the true meaning of Christmas. Filled with joy, laughter and heartbreaking moments, this new adaptation has something for everyone, both young and old.  Call the Canyon Theatre Guild for dates, times and ticket prices: 661-799-2702.

The Pantages Theatre Presents Wicked
November 30, 2011 – January 29, 2012
Back by popular demand, Broadway’s biggest blockbuster, Wicked will return to its Los Angeles home, the Pantages Theatre, for a strictly-limited engagement this holiday season.  When it first played the Pantages in 2005, it broke box office records and sold out in record time.  Wicked returned two years later to begin an extended engagement that would go on to run two years, becoming one of the longest-running Broadway musicals in L.A. history.  “I’m very pleased that we have secured a return of Wicked for Los Angeles.  It has been a thrill to have so much excitement at the Pantages Theatre again,” said the theatre’s General Manager, Martin Wiviott.  Based on the best-selling 1995 novel by Gregory Maguire, Wicked, winner of 35 major awards, including a Grammy® and three Tony® Awards, is the untold story of the witches of Oz.  Tickets for Wicked may be purchased online at www.BroadwayLA.org or by phone at 1-800-982-ARTS(2787).  Tickets may also be purchased in person at the Pantages Box Office and all Ticketmaster outlets.  The Pantages Theatre is located at 6233 Hollywood Boulevard, just east of Vine Street, and the box office opens daily at 10 a.m.
