They are a group of women who want to make a difference, and they are doing so, one fashion show at a time.

The Soroptimists have been presenting fashion for the Santa Clarita Valley for years, and this year, the Soroptimist International of Greater Santa Clarita are at it again, as they look forward to presenting Fashion, Follies & Fun on Sunday, March 23 at the Hyatt Regency Valencia.  Chaired by Sandi Naba, co-chaired by Sue Tweddell, and produced by Emily (Davis) Brazell of DFP Special Events, the afternoon promises to be another amazing event.  “We look forward to your participation and support in making this event a great success, which will assist in our efforts to improve the lives of women and girls globally and in our own community,” states Vanessa Wilk, president.  “The profits from this event will assist us in continuing to fund our programs and deliver our mission.”
Men, women, past Soroptimist award recipients and young ladies of the Santa Clarita will strut their stuff on the catwalk, presenting fashions from local clothiers.  The talented Ed Masterson will once again serve as this year’s emcee.
“We are excited to team up with Title Sponsor Mike Bjorkman and his HomeSmart Models,” states Vanessa.  “The HomeSmart team will be a fun and fabulous addition to this year’s runway.” Mike Bjorkman and his team are huge supporters, particularly for such organizations as Single Mothers Outreach, who is also a partner of SIGSCV.  Other supporters of the event include VIP Sponsor Quest Diagnostics and media sponsors élite Magazine, The Magazine of Santa Clarita, KHTS Your Hometown Station and SCVTV.
