Del Sur, California
What started as dream quickly turned into a space for people from all walks of life to come and enjoy beautiful ocean views while living amongst nature in yurts. One might ask what is a yurt? Yurts are glorified tents fashioned after aboriginal Mongolian structures. Treebones yurts are spacious and tastefully furnished including: plush queen-sized beds with linens and cozy comforters, a heat source, electric lighting and a hot & cold sink vanity. The yurt floors are polished pine wood with French doors that open to a generous redwood deck with spectacular coastal views. At the Treebones resort you have the option to stay in one of these interesting buildings, camp in your own tent or have the experience of a life time in the Nest or Twig Hut. This unusual wood-art was created and built by Big Sur artist Jayson Fann, and offers one of the best views at Treebones. Here you are going beyond the comforts of a yurt where you and a companion can fall asleep cradled in a human-sized nest. It includes private use of the hand-woven nest and comes with a full- sized futon pad inside. There is a picnic table & outdoor cook station nearby, with restrooms and water access a stroll away.
