For Love of Family and Sharing Roots: Mike Garcia And Rebecca Rollins-Garcia
Is there anything more romantic than a pizza date? For Mike Garcia and Rebecca Rollins, the answer is no – because that’s how the story of their relationship started, and since that oh-so-idyllic day back in 2009, there’s only been happy stories to tell.
They met at a Lamppost Pizza shop over a decade ago, where the two hit it off right from the start. It wasn’t long until they were officially together by 2010, and in June of 2013, they were married right here in Southern California at the Hummingbird Nest Ranch down in Simi Valley. After they exchanged their vows on that incredibly special (and hot!) day, the rest was history.
As both of them will tell you, they’ve got a lifetime full of love shared between them. And even with the demanding nature of Mike’s career, there’s still room in every day for consistency and the comfortable hustle and bustle of kids and the home life that we all look forward to at the end of every day.
After almost a decade of marriage, Rebecca describes Mike as encouraging, supportive, and loving in all senses of the word. And, of course, the affection goes both ways – Mike describes Rebecca as beautiful, strong, and supportive as well, which is part of what makes their relationship function so well.
All these years later, Rebecca continues to cherish Mike’s dedication to and love for his family.. and his sense of humor, of course. On the other hand, Mike admires Rebecca’s love for life and her own family values and how she takes care of their little family.
Perhaps their connection is also so strong because of their shared roots – Rebecca was born and raised in the Santa Clarita Valley, and Mike moved to Santa Clarita as a young elementary school student back in 1983.
Nowadays, Mike spends a significant portion of his time working on bettering Santa Clarita and all that it has to offer – with Rebecca and their kids right by his side through the ups and downs.
Reflecting on their best memories, Rebecca shares that their first date will always hold a special place in her heart, because that’s where their story started and she knew right off the bat that there was something special between them. For Mike, his best memories are the ones they make every single day, whether it be simple family time at home or playing games with the kids outdoors so they can really get the most of their time together.
When it comes down to their goals, Mike shares that he’s looking forward to raising their two sons into strong and honest men, and holds the hope that they’ll one day grow up to serve the very same country that he takes such pride in.
Similarly, Rebecca’s goal is to bring up their sons to be the very best wholehearted gentlemen they can be, and to support Mike alongside his professional and political aspirations while working to build her own Interior Design empire.
In their free time, three things take priority: good food, great time outdoors, and spending time together as a family. All three are what make them flow so well as a couple and as proud parents to two growing boys.
For the Garcias, the future holds many more opportunities for traveling, exploring new places, and chasing new adventures day after day. And, somewhere down the road, they hope to see their own happiness and love for their hometown reflected in their two sons – for Rebecca and Mike, that’s what it all comes down to at the end of the day.
