2026 Holiday Home Tour: Hearts in Harmony Three Homes. Three Stories. On Community Coming Together for Heart Care

by | Oct 26, 2026 | Henry Mayo

For more than 46 years, the Holiday Home Tour has been a beloved Santa Clarita tradition, opening beautifully decorated homes and hearts to support Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital. This year’s Holiday Home Tour and Hearts in Harmony Gala is presented by Southern California Real Estate Management (SCREM), Inc., owned by Todd and Steffanie Stelnick.
For the third consecutive year, proceeds will benefit Roberta G. Veloz Cardiovascular Services at Henry Mayo, advancing cardiovascular care close to home.
“The efforts of this community and all those involved are truly appreciated,” said James S. Lee, MD, Medical Director of Cardiovascular Services. “The generosity behind the Holiday Home Tour helps us continue advancing the cardiovascular services available to the patients and families we serve.”
This year’s tour features three homes in Westridge, Newhall and The Woodlands, each with a story as unique as the family who lives there. Together, they reflect this year’s theme: Hearts in Harmony.

Building the Next Chapter of Heart Care
Henry Mayo continues to expand Roberta G. Veloz Cardiovascular Services, offering advanced diagnostic and interventional care, including a growing structural heart program featuring Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR).
The next chapter includes an additional cardiac catheterization lab and upgrades to the existing lab. A major commitment from Connie Spears will support these efforts and name Henry Mayo’s second cath lab.
Her gift represents more than new technology; it reflects confidence in the future of cardiovascular care in Santa Clarita and the power of a community investing in its own hospital. Transformational philanthropy begins with extraordinary gifts, but it also grows through countless individuals choosing to make a difference.

Every Gift Becomes Part of the Story
This holiday season, the Hearts in Harmony Community Tree will bring together gifts large and small. Community members can add their names, or those of loved ones they wish to honor, to ornaments featuring paper chains, hearts and musical notes—each representing an individual act of generosity.
Some will honor caregivers, remember loved ones or celebrate lifesaving care. Others will simply say: this is our hospital, and we want to help.

Together, they will tell a remarkable story
The Community Tree will be unveiled at the Hearts in Harmony Gala on Friday, December 4, at Hyatt Regency Valencia. Afterward, it will move to Henry Mayo’s Tower lobby, where patients, physicians, nurses, employees and visitors can see the names of those who came together to advance local healthcare.
There is something beautifully fitting about that journey. A tree created by the community begins at a celebration and ends inside the hospital it was created to support.

And that’s what Holiday Home Tour has always been about
For more than four decades, families have opened their homes, volunteers have decorated, sponsors have stepped forward and donors have given generously, sustaining a tradition built on community spirit.
This year, Darlene Trevino and Armando Gonzalez, Denise Cruikshank, and Rose and Steve Chegwin add their chapters to that history. Their homes and stories may differ, but their doors open for the same purpose.
Three homes. Three stories. One community. One hospital.
And thousands of hearts, working in harmony.

A New Family Story: The Trevino-Gonzales Family

Sponsored by Cheri And Zach Realtors with Equity Union

In Westridge, our story begins with a new beginning. Newlyweds Darlene Trevino and Armando Gonzalez have brought together two families under one roof, creating a home that celebrates not simply a marriage, but the beginning of a new family story.
Nestled in Westridge, their custom home showcases the beauty and character of one of Santa Clarita’s most sought-after neighborhoods. But its most important feature cannot be found in its architecture. It is the sense of community inside.
Darlene and Armando enjoy spending time with their neighbors and are actively involved in the Santa Clarita community. Their home reflects the spirit at the center of the Holiday Home Tour: opening your doors, welcoming others and recognizing that a community becomes stronger when people choose to participate in it.
This holiday season, members of the Holiday Home Tour team will bring the home’s Christmas trees to life, adding a collaborative touch to a residence already centered around the blending of families and friendships.
The Trevino-Gonzalez home is proudly sponsored by Cheri and Zach, Realtors with Equity Union, whose support helps make this beloved Santa Clarita tradition and its impact on local cardiovascular care possible.

A Home Filled with Tradition: The Cruikshank Famiy

Sponsored by Holly Hanlin Real Estate with Equity Union

From a new family story, the tour travels to Newhall and a home where traditions and memories have been built over decades.
“Half of Santa Clarita has been through my house,” Denise Cruikshank joked when talking about opening her beautiful Victorian home for the tour. One visit makes it easy to understand why.
Denise and her late husband, Don, created a home filled with family, celebrations and traditions alongside their daughter, Stacie, and son, Rob. Eventually, grandchildren added another generation of memories and even more love.
The home is filled with the kind of character that cannot simply be designed, it is accumulated over a lifetime. Treasured pieces tell family stories, holiday decorations carry memories from years past, and guests quickly discover one enduring Cruikshank rule: no one leaves hungry. Dogs are welcome, too.
When organizers asked Denise whether she could have five Christmas trees for the tour, her response was fitting: “Only five?”
Those trees will be designed and decorated by Rosie Cassidy of Rosie Design Events, who believes any reason is a good reason to celebrate. Denise and Rosie have embraced the decorating process together with plenty of creativity, fun and, most importantly, laughter. Rosie’s designs will help bring the home’s holiday story to life while honoring the traditions and memories already woven throughout it.
The Cruikshank home is proudly sponsored by Holly Hanlin Real Estate with Equity Union, adding another layer of community support to a home already filled with Santa Clarita history.

A New Chapter: The Chegwin Family

Sponsored by Comfort Keepers In-Home Care

The final home brings us to The Woodlands, where Foundation Board Member Rose Chegwin and her husband, Steve, are embracing a new chapter of their own.
Their sons, Brandon and Chris, are grown, and the years when the house was filled with children and toys have given way to a different season of life. Their beautiful home reflects that transition; sophisticated and welcoming, yet still centered on what has always mattered most to Rose and Steve: family, friendship and gathering together.
Bringing the holiday magic to the Chegwin home is Santa Clarita resident Bessy David, who has been designing and decorating homes for more than 10 years. The holidays are her favorite season, when greenery, trees, twinkling lights and just the right touch of glitter can completely transform a space. Bessy believes a little can go a long way, and that simple touches of greenery and light are often all it takes to make a home feel warm, festive and magical.
The Chegwin home is sponsored by fellow Foundation Board Member Myles McNamara of Comfort Keepers In-Home Care, making this final stop another beautiful example of community members supporting one another while giving back to the hospital that serves them all.
Three homes. Three families. Three very different chapters. Yet each story leads to the same place: supporting the one hospital serving the Santa Clarita Valley.
