While summertime may be coming to an end, the enjoyment of living in the Santa Clarita Valley certainly has not.  There’s much to do while you’re out and about, with each day bringing exciting changes, and many entertaining activities for the whole family to enjoy.  So sit back and relax, and enjoy this issue of élite Magazine, where we bring you stories of entertainment, hope, success and more.

We are so pleased to feature Five For Fighting’s John Ondrasik on our cover this issue.   John is a talented singer and songwriter, who has an amazing ability to write deeply personal songs that not only reflect the world we live in but also touch the lives who listen to his music.  John will be making his way to the Santa Clarita Valley for the Evening Under the Stars Gala Dinner and Auction on September 25, to benefit the Michael Hoefflin Foundation. 
Another talented musician is also featured this month –he’s Santa Clarita resident Mark Nilan Jr.  Mark has a recurring role as the onscreen keyboard player for Fox’s popular television series, Glee.  He’s also an accomplished pianist who just released his first jazz CD last month. 
When you think of dedication and commitment, you think of Zonta International’s new president, Dianne Curtis.   Dianne’s involvement in our community is unmatched, and her commitment to advancing women is commendable. 
You may recognize him as a professor at the College of the Canyons, but there’s much more to the ever so talented Daniel Catán.  Daniel is an American composer who has had a flourishing career.  With operas such as Rappaccini’s Daughter, Florencia en el Amazonas and Salsipuedes, many are looking forward to his newest production, Il Postino. 
There’s a superstar in the making.  Eighteen-year-old Ruba Wilson is destined to be Hollywood’s next biggest celebrity.  Ruba is an actor, singer, dancer and red carpet correspondent who has interviewed many of today’s teenage celebs.
