Valencia High School will be hosting their annual Holiday Boutique to help raise monies for the Valencia High School Choral and Valencia Vocal Jazz!  Over 30 vendors will be in attendance at this public boutique in the Valencia MPR selling holiday goods, crafts, and treasures! Choral students will also be singing carols at the boutique and throughout the community!  Located at VHS in the MPR, 27801 N. The Santa Clarita Elementary School PTC is a 100 percent volunteer driven non-profit group dedicated to improving the quality of education in a public school format. We are excited to partner together and help involve the community in our efforts.  Come and finish up your holiday shopping all while supporting your local elementary school.  Each vendor will give the Santa Clarita Elementary School PTC 20 percent of all sales. Four beautiful Santa Clarita Valley homes will be decked out in true holiday style during Henry Mayo’s 33rd annual Home Tour.  Holiday shoppers looking for unique gifts will be delighted with the Home Tour’s indoor holiday gift boutique at Pico Canyon Elementary School, 25255 Pico Canyon Road in Stevenson Ranch. Literacy and Arts Festival – 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Celebrate the seventh annual Santa Clarita Literacy and Arts Festival at the Old Town Newhall Library with youth entertainment, education, and activities to encourage, promote, and expose the importance of literacy and the arts to people of all ages. Be entertained by storytellers, be a part of the hands-on art activities, and practice journalist skills for the day, all while bringing out the surprise and delights of the imagination. Placerita Canyon Nature Center Associates Annual Holiday  Craft Fair – 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Make wreaths and centerpieces from a variety of live greenery, holly, pine cones, mistletoe, dried fruit and seed pods. Kids crafts include candle dipping, bead bracelets and pine cone art.  Santa will make an appearance. Parking and admission are free. Santa Clarita Valley Family YMCA Snow Fest – 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Fun for the whole family is here. Its that time of season to enjoy the excitement of the holidays!!!! Come on by to your local Santa Clarita Valley YMCA to sled build a snowman and play in 10 tons of snow for free. Enjoy games, prizes, treats, and hot coco too while meeting Santa. West Ranch Wildcat Football presents Second Sundays Food Truck Invasion. Second Sundays is a monthly fundraising event that brings gourmet food trucks and fun to the community of Santa Clarita every Second Sunday of every month March through December (except May-first Sunday) This food truck invasion is supported by boutique vendors with all funds raised supporting the Student Athletes of West Ranch Wildcat Football.

Glacier Slide Polar Bear Swim – 9 a.m.
Polar Bears prefer habitation in the sea ice (28.8 ºF) covering the waters in the high Arctic. In honor of these snowy white bears, take a chilly plunge into the Aquatic Center’s waterslide pool on New Year’s Day at 9:00 am. After the goose bumps have gone away, have your name added to the Polar Bear Club Plaque. The waterslide will be open and coffee and snacks will be provided. Sunday, January 12 – The World Famous Popovich Comedy Pet Theater – 2 p.m.
The World Famous Popovich Comedy Pet Theater is a family-oriented blend of the unique comedy and juggling skills of Gregory Popovich, and the extraordinary talents of his performing pets. Each of the show’s 15 cats and 10 dogs were once strays, rescued from animal shelters. Audiences will be delighted to see this extravaganza of European-style clowns, amazing juggling and balancing acts, and of course, very talented performing pets. It’s a show that both adults and kids of all ages enjoy!
