Samantha Bailey is a seven-year-old princess. Well, to be clear she’s a young model whose work has been seen in Disney and Tee Tots.  Let’s not dispute the fact that she resembles a real life princess when modeling those billowy, frilly dresses.  Yes, Samantha has been a princess, a model and an actress.  You may have seen her play Summer Newman on CBS’ The Young and the Restless. Her first episode aired on June 9 and so far she has filmed nine episodes, with more on the way.  Did I mention she’s only seven?  “The cast is really cool they are all so much fun to work with,” states Samantha.  But the set is not all work for the young star. “They joke around all the time and are so funny.  Stacy even brings her daughter to work so we can play when we aren’t filming!”
Samantha says The Young and the Restless is her favorite acting job to date, but her portfolio includes an impressive repertoire.  She has been a co-star on several shows such as NCIS, Pushing Daises and Criminal Minds.  Samantha got her start at the Yeah Baby Expo when she met her current manager Nelson Parks.  After volunteering and helping out, Nelson invited her in for a meeting and within a week signed with her current agent, Amsel, Eisenstadt & Frazier (AEF).
Samantha has done numerous print works for companies including Disney, Tee Tots, Educational Insights and more.  “My favorite modeling job is a tie between Tee Tots and Disney,” says Samantha, “Disney is a lot of fun too since I got to go to the beach and the Disneyland Hotel and I got to wear cool princess dresses and other Disney stuff.” It seems like never-ending playtime and dress up for Samantha with her different character portrayals.
Having lived in Santa Clarita all her life, Samantha has also been involved in ESCAPE Theatre where she performed her first show last year.  She was a Goodie Too Shoe Girl in The Music Man and opened the Holiday Dinner Theatre show. Aside from acting endeavors and modeling positions, Samantha puts her heart into helping a commendable cause.  She has a large commitment in fundraisers and walks for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).  As her father was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes and her mother works for Medtronic Diabetes, Samantha has been a part of the JDRF since she was born.  Samantha states, “I like raising money to help find a cure for diabetes.  My dad has to take shots and check his blood sugar and that isn’t fun.  It would be nice if they could find a cure so no one has to do that anymore.”  She looks forward to the next walk on November 8.
All in all, Samantha is a young aspiring star.  Her bright eyes and contagious smile exudes in everything she does.  As for her idol?  Miley Cyrus is an inspiration to Samantha.  After meeting her a couple of times and singing and dancing to the Hoedown Throwdown, Samantha looks up to the singer/actress.  Samantha is also an idol on her own.  Her three-year-old sister Bri, otherwise known as “mini-me,” is following Samantha’s footsteps in modeling and acting.  Looks like the Bailey girls are ready for anything that comes their way. Brace yourselves.  It seems we have a young rising starlet in our midst.
