New City Events Blooming This Season!
Spring is blooming in Santa Clarita, and with it comes two exciting new City events that celebrate creativity, community and our natural environment. This season, residents are invited to get outside, connect with neighbors and take part in hands-on activities that highlight what makes Santa Clarita such a special place to live—its people, its parks and its commitment to the arts and sustainability.
Leading off the spring festivities is Art Hop, a brand-new event that brings together youth arts, springtime play and community fun. Art Hop will take place on Saturday, March 28, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at William S. Hart Park, offering a colorful, high-energy experience for families and residents of all ages. Designed to celebrate creativity and self-expression, Art Hop invites participants to immerse themselves in hands-on art activities, enjoy live performances and explore interactive experiences throughout the park. A highlight of the event is the Youth Art Exhibition and Contest, which encourages K–12 students to showcase their creativity and artistic talents. Art Hop also features classic springtime fun, including a kids’ egg scramble for ages 10 and under. This free, family-friendly event blends imagination, play and community connection. Set against the historic and scenic backdrop of William S. Hart Park, Art Hop offers a fresh way to welcome the season while celebrating Santa Clarita’s young artists and creative spirit.
Following Art Hop, the City will debut another new event focused on the natural environment and sustainability. Tree-mendous, a new Arbor Day celebration, presented by West Coast Arborists, will be held on Saturday, April 11, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Valencia Heritage Park. This free, family-friendly event invites residents to celebrate the importance of trees and green spaces through hands-on, educational and interactive activities. At Tree-mendous Arbor Day, attendees can take part in a ceremonial tree planting, receive free trees and mulch to use at home, witness a chainsaw carving demonstration and explore interactive exhibits centered on environmental stewardship. The event will also include dog adoptions, giving families the opportunity to grow their households in a meaningful way while supporting local animal services. Designed to be both fun and informative, Tree-mendous highlights the City’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and preserving Santa Clarita’s natural beauty for future generations.
Together, Art Hop and Tree-mendous Arbor Day showcase Santa Clarita’s dedication to creating engaging, inclusive events that bring the community together. Whether you are creating art, cheering on young performers, planting a tree or learning more about caring for the environment, these spring events offer meaningful ways to connect with the City and one another. Residents are encouraged to visit SantaClarita.gov for full details and updates, and to join in celebrating everything that makes spring in Santa Clarita creative and green.
