A Legacy of Clarity and Confidence: Ivy Pierson 25 Years of Financial Guidance
For more than two decades, Ivy Pierson has quietly built one of Santa Clarita Valley’s most trusted financial advisory firms. As President and Founder of Pierson Wealth Management, Ivy recently celebrated her company’s 25th anniversary—a milestone that speaks to both her steady leadership and her enduring commitment to helping clients find peace of mind in an often complicated financial world. “I was drawn to wealth management by the idea of doing well by doing good,” Ivy shares. “Early on, I didn’t fully grasp how impactful this work could be. But once I saw how deeply we could help people, it turned into a truly fulfilling life path.”
Founded with a storefront office on Constellation Road in Valencia—what Ivy calls her “happy place”—Pierson Wealth Management is now a firm with national reach while staying true to its SCV roots. What sets the firm apart, Ivy says, is its holistic approach, addressing not just investments, but the full spectrum of financial life: financial planning, tax strategy, protection planning, estate planning, and investment management.
“We’re not just about numbers,” Ivy emphasizes. “We focus on building relationships. Many of our clients have been with us since the beginning—we’ve celebrated weddings, the birth of grandchildren. Being a trusted presence in people’s lives year after year is what truly matters.” Tailoring strategies to each client is a priority. Ivy believes in getting to know each individual beyond their balance sheet, learning their goals, values, and dreams for the future. Whether helping a small business owner structure retirement benefits or guiding a young adult through opening their first Roth IRA, Ivy and her team craft plans designed for long-term clarity and peace of mind.
That personal touch extends even to first meetings. “Our first meeting is always relaxed and conversational,” Ivy says. “It’s about making sure we’re the right fit for each other.”
Of course, guiding clients through economic uncertainty is part of the job. Ivy points out that Pierson Wealth Management uses a structured asset diversification strategy, often reducing clients’ exposure to market volatility compared to traditional stock-heavy portfolios. She emphasizes the importance of proactive planning rather than emotional reactions—a lesson that applies as much to market swings as to life’s curveballs.
Education also plays a central role in Ivy’s approach. “A well-informed client is an empowered client,” she says. “We spend time teaching financial concepts because when people understand why we’re doing what we’re doing, it builds confidence and trust.”
That commitment to clarity extends beyond financial matters. Ivy has also faced challenges in an industry still largely male-dominated. Early in her career, she recalls feeling isolated among the strong camaraderie of male advisors. Over time, though, she realized that being different was actually a competitive advantage.
“Many clients specifically seek out women advisors,” Ivy says. “We bring a unique perspective and relational approach. This profession is incredibly well-suited to women—we naturally listen, build relationships, and provide thoughtful guidance.”
Ivy actively encourages more women to enter the field. “It’s a deeply rewarding profession that offers flexibility and balance,” she shares. “Our industry needs more compassion and empathy. We need more women.”
Locally, Ivy is involved with Zonta International and sponsors several women’s groups, aligning with her personal mission to empower women. She’s also an avid supporter of Santa Clarita’s community spirit, participating in local running events and bike rides with her husband Shaun and their dog, Bella—who, with her sidecar, has become something of a local celebrity.
Even with a thriving business, Ivy keeps family at the center of her life. Now an empty nester, she enjoys traveling and staying active. Health and fitness, she says, are non-negotiable. “Exercise grounds me—it’s how I start every morning.”
Reflecting on her career, Ivy shares two mottos that have guided her through both life and business: “Never stop learning,” and “Always listen before talking.” It’s that thoughtful, grounded approach that’s earned her accolades both within the financial industry—consistently ranked in the top 10% of advisors within her RIA—and right here in Santa Clarita, where she’s been named the Ultimate Financial Professional multiple times.
When asked what’s most rewarding about her work, Ivy doesn’t hesitate: “Bringing peace of mind to the people we serve. Knowing that a client can finally enjoy retirement without worry because of the work we’ve done together—that’s everything.”
After 25 years, Ivy Pierson continues to lead with heart, clarity, and a steady hand, helping clients both locally and nationwide live life with greater confidence. As she puts it, “We’re here not just for financial decisions, but for life’s joys, challenges, and everything in between.”
