PublishersThe beauty of the new season has finally arrived…the warm summer days are cooling down and the vibrant colors of autumn are beginning to appear.  Fall is such a wonderful time of the year in our valley.
The spirit of giving is indeed prevalent throughout Santa Clarita, and we are constantly amazed at the generosity of the residents who live here. With the holiday season approaching, we wanted to feature some of the many wonderful people who have graciously donated their time and their efforts to making our community one of the most desired places to live and raise a family.  We take pride in their accomplishments and Santa Clarita should be proud to call them our own.
We are pleased to feature the beautiful and talented Arianne Zucker on our cover this issue.  You may recognize Ari as she plays Salem’s resident ‘bad girl’…a.k.a. Nicole Walker on NBC’s Days of our Lives.  The Santa Clarita resident and actress took a moment to talk with us about life on and off the set along with the launch of her new project LifeCHANGE.  Read about Ari and her passion to help improve the lives of others.
They are one of the hottest new singing groups, bringing us timeless music from the last six decades.  Get to know The Company Men, the group who graciously showed their philanthropic support and performed the opening number at our Dancing With Our Stars event that took place in September.
Not only does fall bring cooler temperatures, it also brings many special events and ways we, as a community, can come together to help our non-profit organizations and the people they support. We have featured some of our local vintners who have given to many, be it donating their wine or helping pour, and how they have given back to our community.
Get to know Jared Axen, Henry Mayo’s singing nurse, who has captured the hearts of his patients, leaving a lasting impression with his beautiful voice.
Congratulations to the winners of the First Annual SCV Leadership Awards.  Over the last few months, community members had an opportunity to nominate businesses and people for their entrepreneurial spirit.  We were pleased to join forces with the SCV Chamber of Commerce, Valley Industry Association and SCV Economic Development Corporation to honor and award those businesses last month.  Read about some of the winners in our SCV Leadership Awards Profiles section and why they were voted outstanding community leaders.
We are also pleased to announce the winners of the élite Ultimate Home and Garden Awards in this issue.  Congratulations to all the winners and to those who have supported élite Magazine throughout the years.
Should you decide to escape for a weekend getaway with the family, you will certainly fall in love with Salt Lake City, Utah.
This season, take some time to redecorate your home.  Whether it’s indoors or out, let our home design directory help you find the right professional to do the job.  We have also featured products for the homes as the seasons change.
Perhaps the La Maison, tucked away in the heart of Newhall that we have featured, will help inspire you to make your home look and feel great.
Lastly, this issue embodies a little bit of the giving spirit of this wonderful valley we call home.  So flip through the pages and enjoy the beginning of the holiday season and all the finer things in life that Santa Clarita has to offer. Have a safe and fun Halloween and be sure and share your gratitude with those you love this Thanksgiving holiday.
