A Message from the Associate Publisher Alexander Hafizi
It has been quite the experience with so many ups and downs through this pandemic, but I’m glad to finally see a light at the end of the tunnel, it might be dim but still a sign of hope. We are so happy to be able to provide you with another great issue of élite Magazine; and we owe a huge thank you for those who are continuing to support us through these trying times. Our advertisers, our tireless team and you, our readers keep us going and for that we are very grateful.
On our cover this month, we feature a pair of hometown boys who are living out their dreams as a professional golf duo. Max Homa and Joe Greiner are childhood best friends whose love for golf and close friendship with each other has placed them in the lead in the PGA Tour. On the cover we have the two posed with Max’s Idol, golf legend Tiger Woods, soon after this photo was taken, Tiger was involved in a pretty serious car crash. He is doing good today and our hearts go out to him and his family. From these events and the year we have all shared, our biggest take-away is health which should be our first priority.
In this issue of élite Magazine, we have highlighted some of the fantastic medical professionals in Santa Clarita in our 4th Annual Ultimate Medical Awards. Look through our pages and you’ll see why they come highly-recommended. From cardiologists to physical therapists, we have so many specialties all in one place for you, so make the right choice and make 2021 a healthier year.
Aside from our health care professionals we are coming up on the month to celebrate the very first person in our lives who was an unofficial doctor, nutritionist and caregiver…our mums. We appreciate these amazing women who have sacrificed so much and love us unconditionally. Take a look at our gorgeous mums in the picture featured above! In this issue we have a special dedication to new moms in the community and some ideal gifts for her in the Fab Finds. If you want to really spoil your mom this Mother’s Day, send her on a trip to wine country, my parents had the opportunity of visiting the fabulous Santa Ynez recently and loved it, it’s perfect for a quick getaway. I’ve had the pleasure of visiting on a separate occasion and had a blast going to wineries, eateries, local shops and boutiques. This place is a must see!
Speaking of exciting things to see, our community is still growing despite the pandemic challenges. Follow the construction of Vista Canyon in this issue, along with the new Canyon Country Community Center, The Cube Ice and Entertainment Center formerly known as the Valencia Ice Station, and the new Assistance League resale shop. All of this new construction is making our community bigger and more fun, I cannot wait to enjoy these places with the rest of the Santa Clarita Valley.
In the meantime, we can all still enjoy a night out at our favorite restaurants which are currently open for outdoor dining, things could change, so please call ahead to make sure or we may be even lucky enough to be able to dine inside pretty soon. Take a look at some of our great restaurants in this issue, all of them are award winning dining establishments and despite the challenges of COVID, they still remain involved in our community non-profits through various means, so please support them.
We looked forward to bringing you another great issue of élite Magazine with the Ultimate Gentlemen in Business Awards, voting is now open and if you do not see your favorite gentlemen you can nominate them and vote on them daily on our website.
We hope you enjoy this issue of élite Magazine.
Until next time,
Alexander Hafizi and Arnold Bryant
