A Message from the Associate Publisher Alexander Hafizi – July/August 2023
Can you believe it’s Summer? June has been so gloomy, but I’m hoping July and August will warm up and it will really start feeling like Summer.
In this issue, our cover story features LA North Studios and its owners, John Prabhu and Anthony Syracuse. We delve into the world of film production and learn about their journey.
We also take a closer look at Santa Clarita Studios, another prominent player in the entertainment industry.
One of my favorite events last month was the Ultimate Gentlemen in Business winners private award ceremony at Salt Creek Grille. It was a fantastic opportunity to meet the winners and mingle with some of the most successful individuals in Santa Clarita. These awards are my personal favorite, as they showcase the best of the best. Don’t forget to check out the winners in this very issue.
Make your voice heard by voting for the Ultimate Home & Garden awards and the Ultimate Kid Activities awards. The voting is open until July 12, 2023.
We’re thrilled to feature three incredibly talented kids in this edition: Aakash Ahuja Jr., Analyn Boydston, and Ismachiah Oduwole. Their achievements and potential are truly remarkable.
For all things City-related, we’ve compiled three exciting city articles to keep you engaged and up-to-date.
In the SCV EDC article, we discuss the upcoming 2023 Economic Outlook Conference, which will feature the renowned global futurist, Jack Uldrich. It’s a remarkable event that promises to offer fascinating insights.
Our SCV History column pays tribute to Barbara Martinelli, an inspiring figure for children and adults alike.
Throughout this issue, we shine our spotlight on various organizations and entities, including the Child & Family Center, Logix Federal Credit Union, Pickleball, and the SCV Rose Society. Their contributions to the community are truly commendable.
Don’t miss our Home Showcase, where we present a collection of stunning homes from our local realtors. It’s a feast for the eyes!
In Eve Bushman’s article, she explores the captivating world of the Drammers Club, providing a glimpse into their passion for whiskey, mezcal and spirits.
And for all the food enthusiasts out there, Larry McClements shares his recipe for an Easy One Pan Mediterranean Shrimp. Trust me, it’s a dish you won’t want to miss trying.
With this issue, we hope to bring you a taste of Summer, filled with inspiring stories, exceptional individuals, and exciting events happening in and around Santa Clarita. Enjoy!
Until Next Time,
Alexander Hafizi
