As we dive into the heart of the year, I’m incredibly proud to share with you another unforgettable issue of élite Magazine. This issue’s Cover Story is especially exciting, as we shine a spotlight on Congressman George Whitesides. From his days leading at NASA to his current role in Congress, George’s journey is one of curiosity, courage, and an unshakable commitment to innovation and public service. His forward-thinking leadership and dedication to shaping a better future make him a true standout in both local and national arenas.
In our Close Up features, you’ll meet some incredible individuals making a difference in their own unique ways. Claire Seidenglanz, also known as Mrs. Petite California, opens her heart and shares her passion project—Tiny Warriors, a powerful initiative supporting families with babies in the NICU. Her strength, vulnerability, and advocacy are truly inspiring. We also take a creative turn with Ken Cooper, a Santa Clarita local who now works with the incomparable Jennifer Hudson. His story is a testament to what happens when talent meets opportunity.
We’re also getting ready to bring you an insightful profile on Ward Ventanilla, a dedicated fitness expert who is making waves in the health and wellness space. Stay tuned—his interview is in the works and sure to motivate.

In our Spotlight section, we’re featuring some outstanding members of our community. We’ve reached out to JDavids Custom Clothier for a stylish inside look at custom fashion, and to the dedicated team behind the Santa Clarita Ballet, a group that continues to enrich our cultural landscape through the power of dance. We’re also proud to give well-deserved recognition to our City Commissioners, who work tirelessly to keep our community thriving behind the scenes.
The legacy of Santa Clarita comes alive in this issue as well. We’re highlighting Santa Clarita Concessions, a local institution celebrating 70 years of bringing joy (and snacks!) to the SCV. These are the kinds of stories we love—multi-generational businesses that feel like family to so many.
