A Message from the Associate Publisher Alexander Hafizi – September/October 2023
We trust you’ve been enjoying an incredible Summer filled with cherished moments. As the season gracefully draws to a close, it’s a time for reflection on the joyous experiences we’ve had. Can you recall your favorite summer memory? Personally, I find it quite challenging to choose just one among the many wonderful moments. And as the anticipation of cooler weather looms, I must admit, I am eagerly looking forward to it.
For those who might not be aware, I’m honored to serve on the WiSH Education Foundation Board, a role that will elevate to Chairman start-ing this September. This transition fills me with immense excitement, driven by the profound impact that WiSH’s work delivers. As many of you know, the WiSH Education Foundation plays a crucial role in bridging the gaps in education funding that state resources often fall short of. Through our efforts, we support student programs that lack funding from other avenues, firmly believing that every student, regardless of their aspirations or challenges, deserves the essential tools for success within the classroom. Notably, every penny we raise for these endeavors comes from donations, fundraisers, and grants, as we receive no external funding. On September 8, 2023, we invite you to join us for our noteworthy fundraiser, Cocktails on the Roof, hosted at Hello Subaru of Valencia. Further details can be found at www.wisheducationfoundation.org.
