Andrea Vibe: A Harmonious Journey of Passion, Resilience, and Community
Andrea Vibe, a professional singer, educator, and founder of Vibe Performing Arts, has spent a lifetime using her voice to inspire. With a career that spans continents and decades, Andrea’s journey is a testament to passion, perseverance, and the power of music.
Andrea’s love for performing was cultivated in a musical household and honed through formal education at UC Berkeley and Cal State Fullerton. She began singing professionally at just 12 years old and has since graced stages around the globe, performing at prestigious venues like the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, the North Sea Jazz Festival in Holland, and benefit concerts for famine relief in Africa with World Vision and The Continental Singers and Orchestra. Her talent and wholesome American spirit have captivated audiences from Las Vegas to the Middle East.
In 1994, Andrea brought her experience and passion for teaching to Valencia, founding Vibe Performing Arts in Valencia Plaza. Starting with a vision of excellence, VIBE has grown to become the largest performing arts studio in the Santa Clarita Valley, celebrating 30 years of success in 2024. With a state-of-the-art facility, a team of over 25 instructors, and hundreds of weekly students, VIBE thrives on creating a nurturing environment for aspiring performers. Beyond directing the studio, Andrea has served as an Associate Music Professor at College of the Canyons for 27 years, teaching and mentoring students with the same dedication.
Andrea’s journey has not been without challenges. In 2005, she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Balancing her roles as a business owner, professor, and new mother, Andrea faced uncertainty with unwavering faith and a positive attitude. Her resilience is a testament to her strength and dedication, inspiring those around her.
Her milestones are numerous: from her early touring days to her long tenure as an educator, her role as a Santa Clarita Arts Commissioner, and the publication of her Sing With Confidence book series. Andrea has also coached contestants on hit shows like The Voice and American Idol, sharing her expertise with the next generation of performers.
Despite her professional accomplishments, Andrea’s most cherished role is being a mother to her son Scotty, who now plays baseball at The Master’s University. Her commitment to family, community, and personal growth keeps her grounded and fulfilled.
Looking ahead, Andrea envisions her legacy extending through the training of both students and instructors, ensuring the performing arts continue to inspire. Her advice for aspiring artists is simple yet profound: embrace hard work, maintain integrity, and find joy even in challenging moments.
Andrea’s story is one of harmony—balancing the highs and lows of life with grace and determination. Through her work at VIBE and her contributions to the community, she exemplifies the transformative power of music and the importance of pursuing what you love.
