BILL MIRANDA A Dedicated Leader of Santa Clarita
Bill Miranda has long been a pillar of leadership in Santa Clarita, dedicating his career to public service, economic growth, and community engagement. As Mayor of Santa Clarita, he has played a significant role in shaping the city’s development while prioritizing safety, fiscal responsibility, and inclusivity.
“I have lived most of my adult life in Santa Clarita. I raised my family here and have received so much love from our community,” Miranda shares, emphasizing his deep connection to the city he serves.
A Commitment to Leadership & Service
Miranda’s career path has been defined by his passion for leadership. Before stepping into public office, he built a successful background in business and entrepreneurship. He is a former U.S. Air Force officer, corporate executive, and business consultant, bringing decades of experience in strategic leadership and governance.
“I believe in the adage, ‘Leadership Starts with You.’ If you want to be a leader, learn to lead yourself first,” he says, reflecting on his leadership philosophy that has guided his career.
His journey in public service began when he was appointed to the Santa Clarita City Council in 2017, later winning election to continue serving the community. In 2024, he holds the esteemed position of Mayor, focusing on key priorities such as economic development, public safety, and community well-being.
Advocating for Economic Growth
Under Miranda’s leadership, Santa Clarita has maintained a thriving local economy. His commitment to supporting businesses and ensuring financial responsibility has helped the city sustain steady growth.
“No city can thrive without a vibrant economy. Santa Clarita thrives because we are mindful of the public’s money and are conservative in how we use it,” he affirms.
Miranda has championed initiatives to attract businesses, create job opportunities, and foster a climate of innovation. His pro-business approach has contributed to Santa Clarita’s reputation as one of the most financially stable cities in California.
Public Safety: A Top Priority
Miranda has continuously emphasized the importance of maintaining a safe environment for all residents. He has worked closely with law enforcement agencies and emergency services to ensure Santa Clarita remains one of the safest cities in the state.
“Public safety is and always will be the top priority of our city,” Miranda states firmly.
His efforts include advocating for increased law enforcement resources, strengthening emergency response systems, and promoting community engagement to enhance safety and crime prevention.
A Legacy of Service
Beyond his role as Mayor, Miranda has dedicated himself to numerous local organizations, mentoring young leaders, and uplifting underrepresented communities. His leadership extends beyond policy, focusing on fostering a sense of unity and belonging for all residents.
“I have been blessed with love, fortune, and fame, all of which I am grateful to have. But my biggest blessing is to have had the opportunity to serve all the members of our community.”
As Bill Miranda continues his work in public service, his unwavering dedication to Santa Clarita remains evident. Through his leadership, the city continues to thrive, offering a strong economy, a safe community, and a bright future for generations to come.
Mayor Bill Miranda encourages residents and visitors to attend the 29th Annual Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival, April 12-13, 2025, a beloved event that has been an integral part of the Santa Clarita Valley since 1994. This festival celebrates the region’s rich Western heritage with live music, authentic gear, historical reenactments, and delicious Western-style cuisine.
“This event is a true celebration of our city’s roots,” says Mayor Miranda. “I encourage everyone to come out, experience the history, and enjoy the incredible entertainment that makes this festival so special.”
