Bridgeport Beauty
Nestled in the heart of the Island community in Bridgeport is a home that is the first of its kind. Of the 804 residences in Bridgeport, this home looks like it’s straight out of a magazine, and when you take a look at the thoughtful decoration and detail of design put into every square foot of the home, you’ll see it for yourself.
Homeowner Elizabeth Friedman takes immense pride in her home – after completing a total renovation in 2020, the house is now a charming, picturesque property waiting to invite and entertain.
Everything was taken down and redone. Every aspect of the home is custom designed and many fixtures are imported from all over the world, including all the windows, floors, lighting fixtures, and everything in between. Even the AC vent registers and interior door plates/handles were intentionally selected – no aspect of the home’s overhaul was overlooked.
As Elizabeth puts it, every piece in the house has a story behind it, from the custom Italian marble to the Belgium lighting fixtures that are over a century old. She should know – from start to finish, Elizabeth was the sole designer and decisionmaker behind every single renovation.
The home is situated right on Bridgeport Lake and offers the security of a gated community alongside its gorgeous neighborhood scene.
Outside, the home is beautifully decorated with roses to bring the house to life. The yard features Pennsylvania Bluestone throughout, an impressive custom gazebo, and built-in barbecue. The house lets you know that it’s perfect for entertaining and hosting gatherings before you’ve even stepped foot inside.
The interior is even more impressive – an updated kitchen, tons of natural light, and carefully selected furniture work together to create an environment that’s both cozy and modern. Quite simply, there’s something to cater to every taste in this property.
The bedrooms are a sight to see as well, with aesthetically pleasing details intertwined into every part of the décor.
The home features all up to date appliances, as well as a beauty parlor room for when you need a little more space to yourself.
The house itself is as practical as it is pretty. Every corner of the home was designed to feature enough seating, dining, and lounging space to provide the ideal backdrop for hosting or simply spending time with the family.
It’s rustic, it’s clean cut, and it’s chic. In more ways than one, this is every Southern Living reader’s dream home!
