“We’ve all worked with other groups throughout the years,” states Tommy, “so we decided to get together and form our own group, and we are having a blast.”
Bringing a rock and roll edge to the group, brothers Danny and Tommy have been playing music for most of their lives. Originally from New Jersey, Danny began playing at the age of 13. Having worked with members of Toto and Joe Cocker, Danny has opened for musicians such as Edgar Winter, B.J. Sharp, Dick Dale and Three Dog Nights. “My brother is the best guitar player I’ve ever seen,” states Tommy, “and I’m not just saying that because he’s my brother, he truly is talented.”
Talent runs in the family as Tommy has been playing drums since the age of five. “I started playing, and one thing led to another. At the age of 15, I owned my own set of drums.” Tommy has played with artists such as Rick Springfield, Eddie Money, Joe Cocker, Ike and Tina Turner, the Elton John Band and much more.
Chris joins the band as the bassist of Lost in Time. A life-long southern California resident, Chris has played in various bands and toured extensively with Forced, Plan B, The Jace Smith Band, Dirty Cake, House of Cards as well as the DeFranco Family. “Chris comes from a country background,” states Danny. “He is very talented and adds a little twang to the group.”
Rounding out the group is the beautiful and talented lead singer Marisa DeFranco, who was a member of the famous DeFranco Family group back in the 1970’s. Some of the recorded hits with the DeFranco Family include Abra-Ca-Dabra and Hearbeat (It’s a Love Beat), which was number one record for 19 weeks on the billboard charts. Marisa and her family have graced the covers of Tiger Beat along with many other popular teen magazines during the 1970’s and have appeared on shows such as American Bandstand and Dinah! to name a few.
“Marisa is a trained vocalist who brings professionalism to the group,” states Danny. “She also makes us ‘old guys’ look good.”
“Danny and Tom asked me to join Lost in Time about five years ago,” states Marisa. “I just love music, and never want to give that up.”
“We are a group of musicians who enjoy playing together,” states Tommy. “We develop our own way of doing things and play the songs perfectly when we come together, and we have a blast playing for crowds.”
Lost in Time have performed at various venues around the Santa Clarita Valley such as Salt Creek Grill and the Tournament Players Club Valencia to name a few.
