Claire Seidenglanz – Tiny Packages, Tremendous Impact: How Mrs. California Petite USA 2025 Is Supporting NICU Families Nationwide
When Claire Seidenglanz steps onto the pageant stage as Mrs. California Petite USA 2025, she’s not just wearing a sash and crown—she’s carrying the hopes and hearts of countless NICU families across the nation.
Claire’s story began not with pageants, but with heartbreak and hope. When her daughter Shelby was just five days old, she stopped breathing. The terrifying moment led to an emergency hospital stay in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), where Claire spent some of the darkest days of her life at her newborn’s bedside. In the aftermath of that experience, Claire knew she had to do something—something that would make life just a little more bearable for families walking the same uncertain path.
And so, the Tiny Warrior Project was born.
What started as a few care packages filled with comfort items—like fuzzy socks, sleep masks, journals, and personal care essentials—quickly grew into a movement. Claire began delivering them to local hospitals, but her dreams stretched far beyond her community. Now, thanks to the national platform provided by the Petite USA system, her mission is reaching NICU families from North Carolina to Texas. She’s even collaborated with sister queens like reigning Mrs. Petite USA LaFaye Noel to deliver the project’s largest donation yet to Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth.
But Claire’s connection to the NICU goes even deeper. She and her identical twin sister were both born at just 29 weeks and spent two months in the NICU themselves. “Having been so personally impacted by the NICU,” she shares, “makes The Tiny Warrior Project a true work of the heart for me.”
The initiative does more than provide creature comforts—it offers hope. In one especially moving moment, Claire helped a local NICU transform a room into a nursery-like environment for families saying goodbye to terminally ill infants, giving them the gift of peace and presence in their final days together.
Through her advocacy and growing national reach, Claire is dispelling the misconception that NICU stays are rare. “Nearly one in ten infants in the U.S. is admitted to the NICU,” she says. “When you start asking around, it’s clear how many lives are touched by these critical care units.”
As she prepares to compete for the title of Mrs. Petite USA this July in Chicago, Claire has her eyes on a bigger goal: expanding The Tiny Warrior Project to 25 states in the coming year. Win or lose, her mission remains the same—to be a voice for NICU families and a source of light during their darkest hours.
For Claire, change begins with the smallest gestures. “If you focus on one task at a time and keep pushing, one day you’ll look up and realize you’ve changed the world.”
