Located on the hospital’s Valencia campus, the Outpatient Surgery Center offers a full range of specialty same-day surgery procedures provided by a stellar team of clinicians with an average of 10 to 15 years of experience.

“We also have the experience and services of a hospital in a warm, doctor’s office type environment,” said Donna Ferguson, Outpatient Center Director.
The center, which is Joint Commission Accredited and earned a 2013 “Best Outpatient Surgery” award from readers of The Signal, recently added two new innovative surgeries to its roster: hip arthroscopy and arthroscopic carpal tunnel.
“I think if the word got out about our less invasive procedures, a lot more people would elect for scope surgery,” Ferguson said.
In addition to technical excellence, Ferguson and her staff thrive on providing a personal touch.
As breast cancer and reconstruction surgeries are routinely performed at the center, a nurse was inspired to start the Pink Rose program. Once a breast cancer patient completes her treatment, she receives an uplifting card signed by staff and a long-stemmed pink rose donated by Steve’s Florist.
“It’s our way of celebrating the patient’s recovery, which we all feel we play a part in,” Ferguson said. “There are tears many times in that room, when we present the rose and card…and not just from the patient.”
