Down the Rabbit Hole: VIA’s Mad Hatter’s Ball is a Celebration with Purpose
Once a year, something magical happens in the Santa Clarita Valley. This year, on Friday October 24th the Valley Industry Association (VIA) takes a joyful tumble down the rabbit hole to host its signature event—the VIA Bash. This year, we’re trading in the ordinary for the extraordinary as The Mad Hatter’s Ball comes to life in all its whimsical wonder. But don’t let the tea cups and top hats fool you—this isn’t just a fanciful night of celebration. The Bash is where fun meets purpose, and where the community’s heart beats loudest for workforce readiness and future success.
A Night of Merriment—and Meaning
The VIA Bash is more than just a themed evening of fun—it’s a celebration of community and achievement. Each year, VIA takes this opportunity to recognize outstanding individuals and businesses who’ve made a lasting impact. The event includes the presentation of three of VIA’s most esteemed honors: Volunteer of the Year, Business of the Year, and the Community Impact Award.
It’s a time to reflect on the contributions made by VIA members, to honor those who go above and beyond, and to enjoy the company of peers who are passionate about driving Santa Clarita forward.
Connecting to Success: The Cause Behind the Celebration
If the Bash is the Mad Hatter’s party, Connecting to Success is the compass that guides it.
This award-winning program, created by VIA and its Education Foundation, is a workforce-readiness seminar that equips high school juniors with essential business skills like communication, punctuality, professionalism, and teamwork. Delivered by local business leaders, these sessions offer students a behind-the-scenes look at what it really takes to thrive in today’s competitive job market.
Each year, the program touches the lives of over 3,500 students across the Hart District—and as of this year, charter schools and the Uniquely Abled Community are being welcomed into the fold. The impact is far-reaching, life-changing, and entirely community-supported.
Join the Festivities, Fuel the Future
Whether you come for the costumes or the cause, one thing is certain: The VIA Bash is where inspiration and celebration collide. It’s a place where business leaders become benefactors, where community members become champions, and where students become success stories—thanks to your support.
So, join us as we toast to another year of impact, innovation, and a bit of delightful nonsense—all in the name of preparing our young people for a brighter, more successful tomorrow.
