DrinkPak – A Story of Innovation and Community
Located in Newhall, DrinkPAK stands as a testament to the transformative power of vision and determination in the beverage industry. This advanced manufacturing facility, with a total footprint of 1.5 million square feet, merges technology and flexibility to serve both global brands and new market entrants. At its core, DrinkPAK is about the relentless pursuit of excellence, fueled by a passionate team and visionary founders.
The journey of Nate Patena, Jon Ballas, and Ben Rush, the dynamic trio behind DrinkPAK, began long before the company’s inception. Their prior experiences with two of the fastest-growing beverage brands of the last decade provides them with critical insights and a few “battle scars” from working with traditional contract manufacturers. These challenges sparked their ambition to create a different kind of company—one that prioritizes capacity, flexibility, and cutting-edge technology.
DrinkPAK’s capabilities allow it to meet changing customer and consumer expectations – any size can in any format. From single serve to a fridge pack to a variety carton, DrinkPAK’s four manufacturing lines are capable of producing over two billion cans annually. DrinkPAK makes energy drinks, sodas, cocktails and teas in aluminum cans, which are highly recyclable, making sustainability a key strategy for the company. With plans to expand into Texas, the company is set to continue its dramatic growth as it builds a national network of manufacturing facilities. DrinkPAK is now one of the Santa Clarita Valley’s largest private employers.
At DrinkPAK, the process begins with complex batching and ends with sophisticated warehousing and distribution. Each step is meticulously designed to ensure quality and efficiency. The facilities boast over one million square feet of storage, and the fastest beverage canning lines in the world. The integration of advanced third-party logistics (3PL) services, including bulk order fulfillment and refrigerated storage, ensures that products are handled with the utmost care from start to finish.
What truly sets DrinkPAK apart is its team, affectionately known as “The PAK.” Holding a wide range of jobs, this group of talented and passionate individuals embody the spirit of collaboration and perseverance. Their “SIP” values – Speed, Intensity and Purpose – are more than a motto; it’s a way of life at DrinkPAK. The company fosters an environment where diverse perspectives and unique talents are not only welcomed but celebrated. This inclusive culture is a cornerstone of DrinkPAK’s success, driving the team to overcome obstacles and achieve their common goals.
DrinkPAK is more than a beverage manufacturer; it is a testament to the power of vision, innovation, and community. From its founders’ experience as customers to its current status as a leading contract manufacturer, DrinkPAK’s story is one of resilience and ambition. As they continue to grow and evolve, one thing remains certain: DrinkPAK is committed to powering the future of the beverage industry, one can at a time.
