Follow the Wedding: The Love Story of Matthew & Kristin DiGioia
Some love stories feel like they’re straight out of a fairy tale, and for Matthew and Kristin DiGioia, their journey together has been nothing short of magical. From a heartfelt proposal to a dream wedding funded by an unexpected game show win, their love story is one for the books.
Matthew and Kristin’s love story began more than five years ago, and they chose to tie the knot on their fifth anniversary—November 9, 2024—at the breathtaking Sand Canyon Country Club in Santa Clarita. But before they got to the altar, their journey had some unforgettable moments, starting with the proposal. Matthew recreated their very first date and got down on one knee at the very park bench where they shared their first kiss.
However, it was what happened just two days later that felt like fate. The couple attended a special Valentine’s Day taping of The Price Is Right—an episode just for couples. Against all odds, they were called down to Contestants Row, won a brand-new car, spun the Big Wheel to victory, and triumphed in the Final Showcase Showdown. The grand prize? Over $100,000 in cash and prizes, which helped them bring their dream wedding and honeymoon to life.
Their wedding theme, fittingly, was “The Love Is Right,” a playful nod to their unforgettable game show experience. Every detail of the day was filled with personal touches. Matthew took on a DIY approach to the wedding decor, crafting a celebration that perfectly reflected their love. With Pastor Norman Alexander officiating—a Disney-famed wedding officiant who has performed over 8,000 ceremonies—the couple exchanged vows in front of family and friends.
Kristin, radiant in her David’s Bridal gown, had her bridal look perfected by Blo Out Lounge. The floral arrangements, designed by Mina B. of Granada Hills Flowers, added a stunning touch, while Carlos and his team from PKSphotoART captured every heartfelt moment. DJ Randee kept the party going, and guests couldn’t stop raving about the catering by Kai Underhill from Touch of Paradise. According to both Kristin and Matthew’s father, it was “the best chicken they have ever had!”
As for what makes their love so special? Matthew fell for Kristin instantly, barely able to hold back the “L” word on their first date. His favorite thing about her? Her unwavering support, kindness, and generosity. Kristin loves how sentimental and romantic Matthew is, always making her feel like the most important person in the world.
Their journey—from a fateful first kiss to a wedding that felt like destiny—proves that sometimes, love truly does get everything right.
