Date of the Happy Event?
October 30, 2021
Location?
Vibiana in downtown LA
When did you first meet?
We met in June 2018.
How did the proposal go?
Brian and I were on a road trip in Sedona Arizona, we went to a picnic spot, ate lunch and wandered around for a little bit. Brian seemed nervous so I thought maybe he was going to propose, after being in lock down for several months, and knowing he was planning on proposing, I figured it would happen during our trip. We ended up in front of a water wheel, where Brian got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. We spent the rest of the evening facetiming our family and friends to share the news.
What is your favorite memory together?
Pretty soon after Brian and I started dating, I moved into an apartment in Northridge. Brian helped me move in and unpack. We ordered food, but had no furniture to sit on, so we sat on the floor in my empty apartment with no lights, and just ate in the dark together.
Brian’s happiest memory was the day we got our dog. It was August 2020 so we were still locked inside due to COVID, but having a little puppy to love and take care of really brought us together and made us feel like a family for the first time.
What do you both do for a living?
Brian is a graphic designer, and I work in the event industry.
Who said “I love you first”?
Brian
What is your most favorite thing about each other?
That we are each others best friends, we find it easy to be together and have fun in any situation we are in. We laugh endlessly together and can have fun doing absolutely nothing.
Did you have a special officiant, i.e a family member, best friend?

Oh là là – Coq Au Vin
Chicken is often underrated in winter as we often turn to more hearty meat dishes. But this classic French chicken stew shows how rich and hearty a chicken dish can be. It is best prepared in a Dutch oven but can be adapted for a slow cooker. Leftovers reheat well and...
Where Everybody Knows Your Name – And Your Goals
There’s a reason the classic TV show Cheers still resonates: it painted a picture of a place where you could walk in, feel instantly welcomed, and know you belonged. A place where people didn’t just know your name — they knew your story. In many ways, that same spirit...
