Getting to Know NAACP Santa Clarita
Our Mission
NAACP Santa Clarita works to disrupt inequality, dismantle racism, and advance change in criminal justice, health care, education, climate, and the economy.
Through advocacy, community engagement, and collaboration, the branch helps build a more inclusive Santa Clarita Valley where everyone is treated with dignity and has opportunities to thrive.
Who We Are
Equality. Advocacy. Community.
NAACP Santa Clarita is the local branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. Established in 2021, the branch connects the national civil rights mission with local needs through education, outreach, youth empowerment, and civic advocacy.
Its work is rooted in a shared commitment to fairness, opportunity, and lasting community change.
Advocating for Equality
Fair treatment and equal opportunity are central to the branch’s mission.
NAACP Santa Clarita brings attention to inequalities affecting everyday life—from classrooms and workplaces to health care and the justice system. Through community collaboration, it encourages progress and a greater understanding of the challenges residents face.
Supporting Education & Future Leaders
Education opens doors.
The branch’s educational efforts have included the Future Leaders Scholarship for African American and Black students in the Santa Clarita Valley pursuing higher education. Supporting students is an investment in their potential and the future of our community.
Community Connection
A stronger community begins with connection.
Through outreach, education, and cultural events, NAACP Santa Clarita offers opportunities to learn, participate, and support its mission. Events such as its Harlem Renaissance Gala combine cultural celebration with fundraising to advance the branch’s work.
Getting Involved
Lasting change takes people willing to participate.
Residents can support NAACP Santa Clarita through membership, community activities, and contributions. Businesses and organizations can explore sponsorships and partnerships that help strengthen local efforts.
Every contribution of time, resources, and ideas supports a more equitable Santa Clarita Valley.
Looking Ahead
NAACP Santa Clarita works toward a community where students have opportunities to succeed, residents feel heard, and fairness guides decisions.
Every voice matters. Every person deserves dignity. Together, we can help our community move forward.
