Getting to Know WiSH Education Foundation
WHO IS WISH EDUCATION FOUNDATION:
WiSH Education Foundation was founded in 2011 by a group of community education advocates and partners, specifically to help bridge the gap in state education funding and provide for student programs in the William S. Hart Union High School District. We serve over 21,000 students in grades 7 through 12. As a designated 501c(3) non-profit organization, the foundation acts as a separate and distinct entity that works alongside the Hart district to fund programs and initiatives not paid for by tax dollars alone.
WHAT WISH BELIEVE
Our board strongly believes that every student deserves to have the tools needed for success, regardless of his or her passions, interests, or challenges. The WiSH Education Foundation is committed to maintaining and enhancing the education and learning experience of all Hart District students. We also believe that the foundation’s success is our community’s success.
HOW WISH IS FUNDED
We do not receive funding from any local, state, or federal agencies but instead rely solely on contributions, grants, and sponsorships to bridge the ever-widening gap between our student’s needs and available resources. You can trust that your donation will benefit ONLY the Hart District students. All directed funds follow UPMIFA rules and regulations, and any directed program funds received over and above the program budget, purpose or project timeline become unrestricted and put toward other categories of need. We do not receive funding from any local, state, or federal agencies but instead rely solely on contributions, grants, and sponsorships to bridge the ever-widening gap between our students’ needs and available resources.
