Hart District Names New Director of Facilities, Planning, and Construction Sarah Silva
The William S. Hart Union High School District Governing Board unanimously approved the appointment of Sarah Silva as the new Director of Facilities, Planning, and Construction, marking an important leadership addition to the district’s operational team. The decision reflects the Board’s confidence in Silva’s extensive experience, proven track record, and long-standing commitment to the Santa Clarita community.
“We are pleased to officially appoint Ms. Silva to lead our facilities team,” said Superintendent Vierra. “Sarah possesses a unique skillset and a history of working successfully on our district’s projects in a former role. Furthermore, as a long-time Santa Clarita resident and future Hart District parent, Sarah is personally invested in ensuring our schools are safe, modern, and optimal learning environments for every student.”
Silva brings more than two decades of experience in construction management, facilities planning, and operational leadership. She began her career in 2004 as a Field Coordinator and Construction Estimator with Gangi Builders, Inc., where she gained early hands-on experience managing timelines, coordinating teams, and overseeing construction details. Her expertise broadened significantly when she transitioned to Lundgren Management in 2015, serving as a Project/Contracts Manager. In that role, she worked closely with school districts, architects, and contractors to guide major capital projects from concept to completion, including work within the Hart District itself.
Most recently, Silva served as the Director of Facilities for St. Annes Family Services in Los Angeles, where she oversaw facility operations across multiple sites, managed renovations, and implemented systems to ensure long-term sustainability and safety. Colleagues consistently praised her collaborative leadership style, attention to detail, and ability to navigate complex, multi-phase projects
Silva holds a Bachelor of Arts from California State University, Northridge, and has been an active member of the Santa Clarita community for many years. Her personal investment in the district, paired with her professional qualifications, positions her well to support ongoing modernization efforts, future school construction, and long-term facilities planning.
Ms. Silva officially begans her new role on December 8, 2025.
