i care for kids assists local schools with vision screening and provides eye exams and glasses for students in need. This program is on a referral basis from the five public school districts in the Santa Clarita Valley.
Emergency Community Assistance provides one-time financial assistance or distribution of specific items to individuals or families that have had a significant event occur that has disrupted their quality of living.
Teddy Bear Patrol provides teddy bears to children involved in traumatic situations. The bears are provided to local law enforcement agencies, fire stations, hospitals and other agencies for distribution as the need arises.
Family Ties provides home-cooked meals, birthday gifts and treats to the residents in convalescent hospitals and to homebound seniors.
Fostering Success provides basic needs to students who have aged out of Foster Care and/or are homeless. The goal is to assist College of the Canyons when requested, thus allowing these students to focus on learning and development.
Uke A Ladies provides musical entertainment to seniors and instruction to children. It also provides broad recognition of Assistance League of Santa Clarita.
Assistance League® of Santa Clarita is pleased to announce that after 30 years in the Santa Clarita Valley, they now have a new home for their resale store. For the past two decades, the money made in the resale store has gone to benefit local families in need through the aforementioned programs.
The support the community has provided to the chapter over the past thirty years has made it possible to purchase and renovate a larger building at 26045 Bouquet Canyon Road. Renovation is now in progress and above you will see an artist’s rendering of the new location. This state-of-the-art facility provides more space and accommodations to customers and volunteers to continue the mission of transforming lives and strengthening community.
