Leading the Way in Veterinary Care: Dr. Jaimie Ronchetto’s Journey
As the owner and lead veterinarian of Cinema Veterinary Centre, Dr. Jaimie Ronchetto showcases dedication and resilience in veterinary medicine. Her journey from aspiring vet to award-winning professional and business owner highlights her passion for animal care and commitment to her clients.
Dr. Ronchetto’s work involves treating dogs, cats, and pocket pets, performing surgeries, and offering dental care. She has also added small animal acupuncture to her skill set, reflecting her commitment to holistic veterinary care. Continuous learning drives Dr. Ronchetto. “I am always curious to find new ways to offer new services to my clients,” she says. Currently, she is exploring Chinese herbal medicine and aims to gain certifications in rehabilitation and chiropractic care.
Balancing professional responsibilities with personal well-being is challenging. Dr. Ronchetto’s care for her clients often extends beyond clinic hours, yet she values relaxation and self-care. “I try to make time to relax, spend time with family and friends, or travel to new places at least once a year,” she shares.
A pivotal moment in her career was deciding to open her own veterinary hospital, a bold step taken earlier than anticipated. “The most significant turning point for me was the realization that I wanted to venture out on my own and open my own veterinary hospital,” she reflects. This decision has been both daunting and rewarding.
Dr. Ronchetto advises aspiring veterinarians to get broad exposure to the field. “Veterinary school is rigorous, and the industry is challenging. I would encourage anyone who wants to get into the field to get as much exposure to the various aspects of it as possible and see the good, the bad, and the ugly,” she emphasizes. Success, for Dr. Ronchetto, means feeling fulfilled and positively impacting those around her. “If you can look around you and see that you are positively impacting the people around you, then that is success,” she affirms.
Outside of work, she enjoys time with her German Shepherd mix, Emmett, and two cats. Her accolades include being named a 2014 40 Under Forty honoree, the 2015 Elite Magazine Ultimate Female Veterinarian, and a 2020 Top 100 40 Under Forty honoree.
Dr. Jaimie Ronchetto’s journey is a testament to dedication and growth, inspiring others in her community. For more information, visit www.cinemavet.com or call 661-253-9300.
