Love is in the Air
As winter slowly transforms into spring, the world comes back to life as the tulips and daffodils begin their bloom. This is a time of growth, renewal and hope. Love is in the air in Santa Clarita and many couples are getting ready to grow their relationships by saying “I do.” If you’re in love and looking for a unique, intimate, affordable and convenient wedding ceremony, the City of Santa Clarita invites you to enjoy love, laughter and live happily ever after with a wedding at City Hall. The City’s international award-winning City Hall Ceremonies program, has married over 330 loving couples since its inception in 2020, offering confidential marriage licenses and beautiful ceremonies.
To many couples, the idea of a large, traditional wedding can feel extremely daunting, overwhelming and costly. A ceremony at City Hall lets you craft the marriage experience you want, without the extra cost or late-night stress that comes with a more conventional ceremony. Could a hassle-free City Hall Ceremony be right for you? Let’s find out.
While the average cost of a wedding was just over $27,000 in 2022, a wedding ceremony at City Hall costs just $73! Couples will have their choice of several beautiful locations at City Hall for their nuptials, including Council Chambers, in front of our lobby mural or outside with the fountain as a back drop. The City will have an officiant present to oversee the ceremony and a staff photographer will be provided, although couples are encouraged to bring their own photographer to ensure they get the special pictures they want.
For couples who already have a venue picked out and a ceremony planned, the City is pleased to offer confidential marriage licenses for marriages within the State of California. For those couples who can’t wait to tie the knot, our convenient one-stop service can provide you with a marriage license and ceremony on the same day! Marriage ceremonies are performed, by appointment only, every Wednesday afternoon.
A new Santa Clarita wedding tradition began this year, with the first ever “The Big I Do.” This Valentine’s Day ceremony saw multiple couples get married at the same time at a lavish wedding ceremony and reception put on by the experts at City Hall Ceremonies. Loving couples were able to experience all the flowers, champagne, photographs, dancing, cake and more – without any of the planning. There are more special wedding opportunities in the works, so make sure you follow the City of Santa Clarita on social media to learn more.
The City Hall Ceremonies team is looking forward to providing you with a beautiful, stress-free alternative to a traditional wedding service.
