Make a Splash this Summer with Santa Clarita Aquatics
There’s nothing better on a hot summer day than jumping into a pool — the cool water, the sound of big splashes and the excitement that comes with swimming, racing and playing with friends. Whether it’s friendly competition, staying active or just escaping the summer heat, the pool is where some of the best summer memories are made.
This summer, the City of Santa Clarita invites residents of all ages to dive into a wide range of aquatics programs designed to keep the community active, engaged and cool all season long. From swim lessons and youth teams to drop-in fitness classes and family-friendly events, the City’s pools offer something for everyone across multiple locations, including the Santa Clarita Aquatic Center, presented by Kaiser Permanente, and neighborhood pools throughout the community.
For those looking to stay active, a variety of drop-in classes are available for teens and adults. Options include water exercise, aqua circuit, water walking and liquid cardio, all designed to improve strength, endurance and flexibility in a low-impact environment. Lap swim is also available for those who prefer a self-paced workout, while unique offerings like underwater hockey, adult water polo and water volleyball provide a fun and social way to stay fit.
Young swimmers can take their skills to the next level through competitive and recreational youth programs. The City offers swim teams, dive teams and the Guppy Swim Team, which introduces younger participants to competitive swimming in a supportive environment. Additional programs like competitive stroke and water polo help build technique, confidence and teamwork while encouraging a lifelong love of aquatics.
Families are invited to enjoy quality time together through programs like Family Fun Night, a themed recreational swim experience featuring music and games for all ages. Inclusive programs such as SplashAbility provide a welcoming environment for individuals with sensory sensitivities, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to enjoy the pool.
Back by popular demand, Float N’ Flick offers a unique movie night experience where guests can watch family-friendly films while floating in the pool or relaxing poolside. Recreational swim is also available throughout the summer at various locations, providing a perfect way to cool off and enjoy the season with friends and family.
Swim lessons remain a cornerstone of the City’s aquatics programming, with classes available for all ages and skill levels, including parent-child classes, adaptive swim lessons and adult and teen learn-to-swim options. These programs focus on water safety, skill development and confidence, helping participants feel comfortable and secure in the water.
With flexible options like membership passes for lap swim and water exercise, as well as daily recreational swim opportunities, residents can enjoy the water on their own schedule while building healthy habits and making lasting summer memories.
