Business Professional:
Dress to impress, dress from top to bottom, closed toe pumps or flats, more formal than daily office attire. Here you can dress up with a fitted suit, with a skirt or slacks. From ruffles to subdued patterns your blouse can be your signature piece and you can even dress up the look with subtle jewelry or non-traditional colors in the suit like navy or wearing two tones such as white blouse and white suit jacket with darker slacks or skirt. This is also a sure way to accentuate curves for women with fuller figures. Heels are always a great go-to because they give you height and make your legs look long and slender. However, if you want something more practical and comfortable flats can be just as fabulous!
For the day-to-day office wear, be conservative but we suggest more modern outfits such as dresses and blouses, shoes can be open or closed toe, and blazers are a staple. Adding jewelry can spice up your daily office attire, pearls are the ultimate accessory, sweaters or collared shirts allow more room for comfort, a leather handbag of good quality/size makes all the difference, Prints and patterns can help individualize your style.
General tips:
Silk and rayon are good fabrics for dressy shirts. Stick with solid neutral colors for bottoms (skirts/pants). Always iron your suits. Try your options on at the store and anticipate the need for tailoring. Match your shoes to the color of your skirt or pants. Avoid jewelry that is overly loud or distracting. Don’t underestimate the power of your hair as an accessory. Prints are in but don’t over-do it. Pair with a leather jacket blazer to break it up. Kimonos and cardigans are still go to items that you can dress up or down. Jewelry makes all the difference in bringing an outfit together. Just be you! And remember look good, feel good!
