Ultimate Female Restaurant Owner Haydee Fernandez Scott (Nealie’s Skillet)
What started out as a dream has become a premiere location for breakfast and lunch in the Santa Clarita Valley. Since 2016, Nealie’s Skillet has been serving the community delicious recipes that are a mix of American and Mexican flavors. Co-owner and wife to the chef, Haydee has worked hard to make their dream of being restaurateurs a reality. Today Haydee runs the day-to-day behind the scenes operation while her husband handles everything else.
Haydee’s energetic and loving demeaner brings in a large customer base along with strong ties with the community they serve. “I am a people person, I love meeting people and working on those connections to make strong friendships,” Haydee stated. Loving wife and entrepreneur she keeps busy with the business and raising her three boys. “Before COVID we were always out and about taking the boys to various sports activities and now, during the pandemic I am mom and teacher, “Haydee commented. Her greatest passions have been helping her husband fulfill his dream and raising her boys, but she still makes time to get out and be involved using her skills and influence to support the community. “I love helping other small businesses,” she stated.
