Maria Gutzeit leveraged her degree in Chemical Engineering into a 30-year career assisting industry, government, and non-profits with environmental regulatory compliance. After a start in Fortune 500 industry as a facility environmental engineer for multiple industrial sites, she launched Compliance Plus in 1995.
Compliance Plus combines hands-on facility experience and a passion for detail. Work is customized, not cookie cutter. Compliance Plus can assist with air permitting in any jurisdiction, and is well versed in Title V, SCAQMD and MACT issues. Maria is licensed as a Qualified Industrial Stormwater Professional (QISP) and her business is WBE/DBE/SBE Certified. A well-known presenter, Maria recently spoke on the human factors behind industrial accidents at the Certified Uniform Program Agency (CUPA) annual conference and on the importance of compliance for business at the California Metals Coalition. She has presented at corporate seminars on California compliance requirements and she just wrapped up a remote training program for women with chemical security roles in Iraq.
