Ultimate Hospital Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital
The last few months have been extraordinarily challenging, gratifying and inspiring. At Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital we have been overwhelmed by the generous support of financial donations, personal protective equipment, and staff meals we have been receiving from many businesses, civic organizations and individuals. We are grateful for and humbled by the giving spirit of our great community.
We are also grateful to the readers of élite Magazine for electing us to receive the magazine’s “Ultimate Hospital” award. This honor is a special testament to the dedicated Henry Mayo employees and medical staff members who have performed heroically this past year.
During the COVID-19 pandemic many people have delayed needed visits to healthcare providers. Rest assured that Henry Mayo has rigorous protocols in place to ensure patient safety. We urge all those that have pressing or emergent health issues to NOT put off coming to Henry Mayo. Rest assured that you will be safe in our care.
As a non-profit community hospital it is donor support that allows us to provide the highest quality medical care. Generous donors have helped us fund an Emergency Services expansion, our Wayne and Connie Spears Intensive Care Unit, the Sheila R. Veloz Breast Center, our state-of-the-art Kim and Steven Ullman Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), the Roberta G. Veloz Cardiac Cath Lab and other programs and services.
It is an honor and a privilege to serve the citizens of the Santa Clarita Valley. Thank you again for your recognition and support.

There’s a reason the classic TV show Cheers still resonates: it painted a picture of a place where you could walk in, feel instantly welcomed, and know you belonged. A place where people didn’t just know your name — they knew your story. In many ways, that same spirit...
