2nd Annual Fiesta Poker Tournament

The Soroptimist International of Santa Clarita Valley’s 2nd Annual Fiesta Poker Tournament was a night of delicious food, great friends and tons of laughs!  Soroptimist supporters from all over came to play Texas Hold’Em at the Courtyard Marriott, 28523 Westinghouse Place in Valencia on Saturday, May 8.
The evening began at 4 p.m. with cocktails and poker lessons given by West LA Poker Dealers.  Guests mingled and watched as some partook in lessons while others enjoyed the great company.  What began as a noisy laughter-filled night slowly winded down as the tables went from double digits to five, then four, then to the final players.
Winning a $1,500 seat at the WSOP along with two nights at the Rio in Las Vegas, Chris Cuffari went from serious to smiles as he was dealt his winning hand, closing out the spectacular night. Jorge Morna took home second place and third went to Greg D’Angelo. Congratulations to the winners and thank you to all of the players and for raising nearly $11,000 to be used for programs funded by SI of Santa Clarita Valley.
