It’s the most wonderful time of the year…the streets are lined with holiday décor, jingles are heard throughout our shopping malls, and preparations for family gatherings have already begun.  As the New Year approaches, it is certainly time to set our sights forward, but it is also a nice time for reflection.
We have met some amazing and wonderful people whom we have featured this past year.

A letter from 1

From the talented and funny JoJo Wright of KIIS FM, to the President of Neuromodulation within the Boston Scientific Corporation, Michael Onuscheck, CSI’s fashionable Costume Designer Eileen Cox Baker, the creative owner of Beijo handbags, Susan Handley, Five for Fighting’s John Ondrasik and singer Angel Taylor, who made their way into our hearts with their sweet tunes and beautiful messages… it has indeed been delightful to feature all the talented individuals who have graced our covers this year.
We are pleased to add another one to the list of entertaining cover stories.  Meet the talented and young star Jackson Brundage.  Jackson plays the role of Jamie on the CW’s popular television series One Tree Hill.  Take a moment to learn more about life as a nine-year-old actor.
Not only does January 1 mark the beginning of the New Year, but it is also a day where millions of spectators from all over the world will watch the much anticipated Tournament of Roses Parade.  This year, there will be a special float riding down Colorado Boulevard, a float that “came to be” by two local residents, Jerry and Merrie Thomsen.  The tribute float is dedicated to honor and remember those who were affected by 9/11.  Read about their passion and commitment to keeping America’s promise, to always remember.
Central Park rocked at the last Concerts in the Park series.  Thousands came to see the popular Journey Tribute Band, Don’t Stop Believin’-otherwise known as DSB.  They have certainly proven to be one of Santa Clarita’s most popular acts ever.  Get to know the members of the band in our interview with Juan Del Castillo and Jeff Vincent of DSB.
He’s a champion on the racetrack.  Meet Canyon Country resident, Rod Johnson, Jr., otherwise known as RJ, and learn about life on the track and the successes he has found along the way.
There’s a new Director of Development for the Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Foundation.  We are pleased to welcome Andrei Nikitin and wish him every success in his new position.
With the holidays here, take a moment to enjoy the spirit of the season with Henry Mayo’s Holiday Home Tour.  We have given you a sneak peek of the three homes that will be featured at this year’s Tour.
We have highlighted many of the wonderful events that have taken place in our Valley over the last few months in our Crème de la Crème features.  The generosity of our community members and their involvement with non-profit organizations always amazes us.
