The idea of a home is different for many; for some, it’s a place to entertain guests at lavish parties.  For others, it’s a place to spend time with family.  And to others, it’s your own niche space carved out as your own retreat from the daily hustle and bustle of life.  The latter is what we find at this privately spacious home, tucked clandestinely between the rolling hills of Sand Canyon.

In the family room, open beams, again reclaimed, continue the natural feel of the home.  Earth-toned sofas are accented by polished mahogany tables, a perfect pairing to the hardwood frame of the large French doors and various windows.  A generous bar of dark wood and marble counter beckon guests to mingle as they enjoy various libations; their choices showcased behind open bar doors from which the generous host can retrieve them.  In the attached formal dine, plenty of seating is provided for all at a large round table.  A side buffet sits, awaiting multiple courses of a bountiful meal, as lighting spills out from the chandelier hanging above.
In the kitchen, rich mahogany cabinets create a stunningly dark juxtaposition to the Versailles pattern of the floor, as well as the creamy marble countertops and the tiled backsplash.  A modern touch is found in the stainless appliances and drawer pulls, offset by the old-world style found in the custom mosaic above the large Viking stove. One can picture themselves washing fresh produce in the large basin sinks, or stirring large pots on the generous cooking area as they prepare their meal, soon to be served in the attached dining nook.
