Supporting the Cause Locally

élite Magazine was proud to visit the American Cancer Society’s SCV Unit office on Tuesday, September 13 to drop off “pink” products provided by a group of generous donors.  Following in the steps of the companies giving back during the month of October in support of Breast Cancer Awareness, I was given a lovely bunch of items to donate locally.  The list of donating companies includes: HandstandTM, AviiQ, Urban EarsTM, Wicked Audio, XtremeMacTM, idAmerica, AFG, Safe Skies® and Toddy.  The items included headphones, earphones, iPod hand stands, Toddy wipes, iPhone case covers, luggage straps and an iPad case.  We truly hope that these items will bring a smile to someone’s face during a time of much needed strength.
I learned from American Cancer Society volunteer Brenda, who manned the office on the day I dropped off the items, that the donation could not have come at a better time as they prepare for their annual volunteer recognition dinner.  I can’t think of a better way to share these wonderful items than with the people who donate the most precious gift of all… their time.
