A fun time was had by all at the Westridge Clubhouse for the first annual SISCV’s “Gentlemen for a Cause”.  With a portion of the proceeds benefitting the SCV Domestic Violence Center, the event grossed approx. $17,500.  Co-Chaired by Suzanne Stone and Lorraine Furden, 20 men were auctioned off to eager bidders who purchased services, romantic dates and even a day cruise.
“The idea for this event came from a longtime member  & Recording Secretary Lori Hollister,” said SISCV President Sandi Naba, “Our valley has not had an event such as this in a long time and we felt it would be different and a huge success; which it proved to be.  I am so proud of our club and kudos to our Committee Co-Chairs Suzanne Stone, Vice-President and Lorraine Furden, Corresponding Secretary, for carrying out Lori’s dream and doing it so beautifully.”
The event was sponsored by Galpin Ford, The Social and Dr. Rex Baumgartner and guests enjoyed the food from Bellamente Catering and laughed right along with the antics of Jorge Lopez, auctioneer extraordinaire, from J&M Entertainment.
