Congratulations to Olympic medalist and our cover star for the June/July issue of élite Magazine, Allyson Felix, for landing a spot on the Olympic Team. Allyson will head to London alongside other USA medalist contenders for the London 2012 Summer Olympics Games that began on July 27 and will run through August 12.
It was a controversial dead heat for third place in the women’s 100 meters at the U.S. Olympic trials, however Allyson will get her shot at the 100 and 200 meters sprints and possibly the 4×100 and 4×400 meters relays. Allyson will be looking for her first individual Olympic gold in the 200. All eyes are on Allyson as she is one of the American sprinters who will have many opportunities to medal in the London Games, where over 10,000 athletes will participate in over 300 events.
