| Child & Family Center helps to build a healthy Santa Clarita Valley by providing mental health, behavioral and educational services to children, adults and families. What began in 1976 as a diagnostic and treatment program for young children with emotional or behavioral problems has grown along with the Santa Clarita Valley to meet the community’s need for counseling, education and supportive services that address the entire family. Today we treat over 850 children each week. Our full spectrum of services includes prevention, early intervention, evaluation, and therapeutic services. We provide counseling, school-based services, crisis intervention, parenting classes, substance abuse recovery programs as well as intensive in-home care. Our families receive help at four convenient locations throughout the valley. Our growth is a direct result of the dedicated leadership the Center has enjoyed over the last 36 years. Our founders, Katie Clark, Liz Seipel and Carol Gelsinger provided the vision of a caring place where children and families could get the help they needed right here in the Santa Clarita Valley. Our Governance and Foundation Boards of Directors, comprised of dedicated community leaders, have navigated through good years and those more challenging. Our management staff has created and maintained one of the finest group of professionals in the field. And today, we continue to mentor and develop our next generation of leaders through our Young Leadership Corps. Our team of leaders ensures that the Center will be here for many years to come – helping children and families who need our help.
