Four beautiful Santa Clarita Valley homes will be decked out in true holiday style during Henry Mayo’s 33rd annual Home Tour on Saturday, December 7, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Ticket cost is $30. A Holiday Boutique will be open that same day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Pico Canyon Elementary School, 25255 Pico Canyon Road in Stevenson Ranch. If you just can wait to see these spectacular homes, there will be a Preview Gala on Friday, December 6, 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. starting with a festive buffet dinner at the TPC, 26550 Heritage View Lane, Valencia, and a tour of the homes. Advance tickets only. Cost is $125. For ticket information and to purchase, please call 661-253-8051 or visit www.henrymayogiving.com.
During the “Open Homes & Giving Hearts” themed holiday event, visitors will have an opportunity to tour four homes decorated in unique themes of festive holiday décor in the heart of Santa Clarita Valley neighborhoods including Westridge, Stevenson Ranch and Wiley Canyon. Opening their homes to the community are: David and Lori Cantrell whose love of Christmas is evident through several impressive displays of Dept. 56 miniatures and Christopher Radko hand-blown Disney ornaments which adorn the central fireplace. Brian and Sarah Daly share their unique collections as part of the holiday displays throughout their vintage vibe home with Margaret Ferlong Christmas ornaments hanging from the centrally-locate Christmas tree. John and Ellen McDonald worked with designer Patrick Tremblay using traditional Scottish and Welsh décor as their inspiration. The 6,400-square-foot manor home also features a Harry Potter room. Television and movie fans will be treated to unique mementos incorporating holiday themes at the traditional ranch-style home of Andrew Wedemeyer and Jenny Guthrie. An advent calendar made of birch branches is just one of many homemade holiday decorating touches. Another is a dining room table set for Christmas in a room of golds, reds and greens. The table is from the television series, Sister Kate.
The tour is hosted by the hospital’s Home Tour League. To date, Home Tour events have raised more than $740,000 to benefit Henry Mayo’s Women’s Services. The Home Tour is open to adults and children over 12 years of age. For safety reasons, guests are requested to wear flat shoes only.
