Every week over 40 California farmers bring the freshest, vine and tree ripened fruits and vegetables to you. Thursdays@Newhall is launching a new free event in Old Town Newhall on the second Thursday of the month, called JAM Sessions. This free event features musical movements by various performing arts groups in partnership with the Ford Theatre Foundation, the James Irvine Foundation, and the City of Santa Clarita. Friday, April 11 – World Beat Series – Tiempo Libre – 8 p.m.
The three-time Grammy-nominated Cuban musical group, Tiempo Libre, is one of the hottest young bands today. Keith Wann presents some classic material as he hosts the ASL Comedy Tour 2014, along with headliners Wink and Branton Stewart. Featuring a special appearance by Justin “Wormy” Callaway and introducing the newest rising star, Greg Bland. Voice noise and occasional incoherent utterances by Wann and Wink will make it accessible for the signing-impaired.
