As you flip through this issue of élite, you will find stories of determination, inspiration and success.  It is with great pleasure to be able to highlight many of the accomplished men and women as well as our talented youth who call Santa Clarita their home.
You know they say we are all connected in some way.  Whether it’s the six degrees of separation or whatnot, somehow the world we live in is much smaller than we realize, and the talented musician we have featured on our cover is the perfect example of that.
Meet the brilliant and artistic Devin Bronson.

Publishers 1 Devin has toured the world with superstars like Kelly Osbourne, Avrile Lavigne and American Idol’s David Cook. Devin also shared the stage with the legendary Robbie Williams, an icon who lived just four miles away from Moe and I when we resided in England.  And who knew, after all these years, we would be featuring one of our former staff members, Sharon Bronson’s son on our cover?  Read about Devin and his whirlwind musical success in our cover story.
Talent seems to be abundant in our Valley.  Meet adorable 12-year-old, Miranda Finn.  The budding singer/songwriter has found success in a short time with her beautiful voice and personality.  Read about Miranda and how her song, Maybe I Can Change This World, was selected as the theme song for the Beautiful and Bald Barbie Campaign.
Speaking of beautiful, we have featured the stunning Kelsie Leach, the reigning Santa Clarita Miss Teen Superior Queen.  Kelsie’s no stranger to the crown or our publication, as she was featured as on the cover of the December 1999 issue of The Magazine of Santa Clarita for winning the Cutest Kid Cover Contest.
Winter days have passed and we are in full spring, leaving us with beautiful sunsets and perfect weather.  While we live in a valley so beautiful, we are even more fortunate to live in a community where our residents continuously show goodwill towards one another, helping to improve the lives of those around.  Read about Eva Payne, and her mission to help create Kindle Ranch, a place where various non-profit organizations can have a place to hold their camps for children with special needs.  Join Eva and be a part of the development of Kindle Ranch.
Imagine being able to capture strength, hope and beauty in a single photograph.  Photographer Tibor Deme and Terry Bucknall, are teaming up to do just that with The Turning Point Project, where they will photograph and interview cancer patients and survivors, compiling them into a published book in their honor.
This issue’s La Maison is located in the serene mountains of Sand Canyon.  Read about homeowners Luis and Tyson and how they made their way to the Santa Clarita Valley.
We have highlighted many of the wonderful events that have taken place in our Valley over the last few months in our Crème de la Crème features.  The generosity of our community members and their involvement with non-profit organizations simply amazes us.
Color is back for spring, so be sure and check out the Santa Clarita Valley pageant girls as they model the latest in fashion and beauty.
Also this spring, take some time to redecorate your home. Be it indoors or out, now is the perfect time.  Our business profiles this issue focus on the home and will help you find the right professional to do the job.
If you’re in the mood for a little getaway, take a trip up the coast to Napa, California’s wine country.  Read about the places our wine connoisseur, Eve Bushman, visited in our feature on Napa.
Let’s not forget that with May, comes Armed Forces Day and Memorial Day.   Be sure and take a moment to remember all those who have fought and continue to protect the freedoms we enjoy today, and to all the mothers out there, we wish you a very Happy Mother’s Day!
