A Night With Our Stars At the 8th Annual SCV Dancing With Our Stars
You won’t find a better reason this year to strap on a pair of dancing shoes and come out to support the many non-profits that benefit from this year’s SCV Dancing With Our Stars! This year, will be a little different with the opening performance by Violist Daniel Morris. It will be absolutely divine, a must-see!
Over the years we have raised well over the million-dollar mark, with a fundraising total of $1.5 million since the inaugural event in 2009, and this is sure to be another hit! Join us Friday, August 24 at the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center as we cheer on new and longtime community leaders under the spotlight.
Our 8th annual competition will feature 20 non-profits with a mix of celebrity dancers and group performances alongside a lineup of professional dancers from Vibe Performing Arts and D’Wilfri DanceArt and Entertainment.
“With many new faces and our special opening act, we are more excited than ever to share this lively show with our community,” said Alexander Hafizi, Vice President and event co-chair. “We’re very grateful to the contributions from our professional dance partners and leading sponsors. Their support has made this year more exciting than ever!”
This event would not be possible without the generous support of our sponsors: Nola Aronson from Advanced Audiology, HomeSmart Team Bjorkman, The Santa Clarita Valley Veterans’ Services Collaborative and the City of Santa Clarita. Thanks to their support, we are able to host an event that supports 20 local non-profits and raises thousands of dollars for this community.
SCV DWOS is a friendly dance competition where celebrity dancers and professional dancers pair up to raise money for the non-profit organization they’ve chosen to represent. Guests will have the opportunity to cast money votes using script, and dancing partners also will be judged by a panel of celebrity judges. This year our judges include KTLA’s Chris Schauble, Founder of SCV’s DWOS Linda Hafizi, and Actress and News Reporter Bella Shaw. All proceeds raised from this not-for-profit event are donated directly to the benefitting organizations, including ticket sales.
Ticket prices are $50/person and are available at http://www.scvdwos.com
We hope to see you on August 24th!
