Designer Ema Koja Combines Fine Art with High Fashion

Ema Savahl Couture pushes the limits of fashion through wearable art.  Established in 1998, the brand incorporates simple yet tactile materials to create handcrafted collections of alluring cocktail dresses, gowns, tops and bottoms.  Some of the one-of-a-kind pieces feature hand-painted bodices coupled with flowing delicate fabrics in avant-garde forms and cuts.  Her garment construction is modeled after her painted work on canvas, which is a signature among her designs.
Designer Ema Koja, a native of Albania, grew up amongst fine tailors and designers, along with a highly athletic family.  Those experiences paid off when she decided to dedicate herself to her artistic development and move to Italy.  After working with top designers, Ema traded the cold winters for warmer climates, making a big move to Miami.  Using her knowledge of anatomy and physiology, Ema began creating one-of-a-kind pieces for herself that quickly gained notice by private clients.  Not long after celebrities, came calling.  Fashionistas such as Katy Perry, Paris Hilton, Sofia Vegara, Guiliana Rancic, Amber Riley of Glee and many more.  
Ema’s work is about color, line and composition: it’s expressly wearable art, and without limitations.  Where there could be plain lace, there’s delicate appliqué, and where there could be printed design, there are painted swirls, blooms and buds.  Welcome to Ema Savahl Design.
