As a Journalism/Communications student it is common to work as an “intern” in the publishing trade. In June knowing that I would be going to COC in September, I contacted the Assistant Editor of élite Magazine to see if they had any intern positions available and as luck would have it, I began my internship with Prime Publications in August.

As a Journalism/Communications student it is common to work as an “intern” in the publishing trade. In June knowing that I would be going to COC in September, I contacted the Assistant Editor of élite Magazine to see if they had any intern positions available and as luck would have it, I began my internship with Prime Publications in August. Typically, interns file, do research and perform tasks around the office that will give them a broad perspective of the publishing business. And, believe me I did much of that. However, I proposed a story and the Assistant Editor said, “go for it!” I discovered very quickly that this complex journey through the entertainment world took an abundance of time, effort and networking, yet I did it! This story, written by me, is the result of my idea, my research, my investigation and my interview with Taylor Lautner. Thanks for reading! |
